Leadership
Robert ('Bob') Chambers is the President of AssetRisk. After graduating from law school, he began his professional career with Peat Marwick in Toronto as a chartered accountant. As a member of the financial advisory services practice, Bob undertook complex projects that included viability assessments, receiverships, business valuations and investigations. When Peat Marwick merged to form KPMG LLP, in addition to his client responsibilities he took on leadership and development of KPMG’s international forensic services, Canadian risk advisory practice, and Canadian banking, insurance, fund, investment dealer and real estate practices that together offered audit, advisory, consulting and taxation services. It was during this time that Bob began to provide assistance to regulatory organizations including securities commissions.
With the increasing complexity of KPMG and the growing conflicts of interest, Bob founded AssetRisk as an independent specialized consultancy in Toronto offering advisory services to corporate, professional and regulatory clients. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Canada, a Certified Public Accountant in the United States, a Chartered Business Valuator, a licensed trustee in bankruptcy and a designated CA-specialist in business valuation and investigative accounting.
